Now that you’ve designed your website template, what do you put on the page? Website traffic generation is something to consider before you write your content. Let’s look at three things you absolute have to do if you want Google and the other “bots” to find you. It’s called search engine optimization – some call it web design SEO and many new web designers & content writers overlook these important points.

What do you need to get SEO, aka search engine optimization for your web site to drive more traffic? Read these three factors ..

1. Relevant content – Make sure the pages on your site remain relevant to one another. For instance, if your company is in the field of Internet marketing or web design, this should be the main focus of articles, tips, reviews and products. Google loves relevance and will reward you for it.

2. Navigation – Use your sidebar to help people navigate your site in an orderly manner. Try not to make any page on the website more than “2 clicks” away from inside or the home page.

3. Linking structure – This is one of the most essential parts of search engine optimization and so many people miss it. You should be linking your pages together internally and externally. Link out to “authority” sites, big companies with lots of page rank.

Also, place great keyword phrases within articles and link them to other pages within your site to give them some punch. Finally, get one way links back to your home page and internal pages from blogs, social bookmarking sites, authority sites, directories, etc. for maximum search engine optimization results.
