Basics for Designing HTML Websites
3 Reasons to Validate Your
HTML Web Design
If you know anything about
HTML Web design, then you understand that HTML is
the foundation for all design. It is the code that
tells a computer that a page is actually a "Web"
page and not just a regular publishing document.
You have to start somewhere
so, if you are a beginner who wants to learn more
about designing websites then HTML
web design principles
apply. Let's start the lesson here.
Learning the basics of HTML
can be as simple as taking an online course or
tutorial, or even simply reading tips online. There
are thousands of tools and programs to help
beginners learn HTML design. And this is where the
problem comes in....beginners will often grab
information from various sources (some outdated)
and don't realize their HTML is not what it should
be.
Whether you're a beginner or
a seasoned freelance designer, HTML code validation
should be performed to ensure your pages are
working properly. Validation can be achieved with
an HTML validator. There are many of these
available online, and most are free!
Here are three reasons to
validate your HTML Web design code:
1. Reduce HTML
Errors
If your site has errors that
you're unable to locate within the HTML code, a
validator can be used to find these errors. Spend
your valuable time correcting the problem instead
of trying to find it. If you have a small business,
one error can cause you to lose sales. Errors
aren't good for business because they make your
site appear unprofessional.
An error may cause visitors
to leave your site, never to return. It's not worth
the risk when you can easily validate your HTML
code.
2.
Accessibility
Make sure your HTML Web
design is working properly and is accessible to all
your site's viewers. Some sites are designed in a
nonstandard way, and this actually decreases
visibility to users. Keep in mind that visitors use
various types of browsers and different Internet
connection methods (which affects loading time).
Flashy sites look great....
only if everyone could view them! Visitors may
access your site using various Internet mediums,
such as their cell phone, a small laptop, or a
handheld computer. Your site should be friendly to
as many access portals as possible.
3.
Compatibility
An HTML validator is one of
the few low cost solutions to ensure your site is
compatible with various browsers. Standard HTML is
the only tried and true code that has kept its
compatibility throughout the years.
That's because standard code
is clean, simple and effective. Browsers are
designed to be compatible with the standard code,
but aren't always in sync with new types of
programming. You can't control which browser your
visitors use, but you can control how well your
site is rendered through all the popular
browsers.
Don't Sacrifice Creativity
in Designing
Keep in mind that using
standard HTML code and validation doesn't mean you
can't be creative. It simply means your creative
ideas will go much further when the foundation of
your code is solid. Search for free HTML validators
through Google or other search engines. Use these
to clean up your HTML Web design code or to
redesign your site if that's what's needed to boost
your business.
Learn basics but write for
your visitors - A good combination for a successful
website. If you need to know more about designing,
there is a program I highly recommend. These
affordable lessons are for beginners and cover HTML
web design, PHP, CSS and other items too numerous
to mention here. Find all the details by
going
here now to look it over.
